Check to See if We Own It

Please search our catalog to see if we already own an item. Try OneSearch or Ebook Central.

To borrow a copy first see if we can get it for you through our Interlibrary Borrowing (Interlibrary Loan) service.

Faculty – Course Reserve Requests

Faculty are encouraged to request items for courses as far in advance as possible.

Physical items: Faculty should contact User Services (516.877.3570) to order books or DVDs for Course Reserves. Please use the Reading Lists guide for more information.

Electronic items: Faculty can add a permalink to Moodle or Course Reserves for e-journal articles, e-book chapters, or streaming media. Please consult our streaming video and audio databases and learn more via our Streaming Media LibGuide.

Student and Staff Recommendations

We welcome student and staff suggestions for items to add to the library collection. Please note that we cannot order textbooks for you. We are mindful of these expenses and support the movement for open educational resources and open access.

Faculty – All Other Requests

Our library faculty serve as liaisons to your schools and departments. Faculty should contact the subject librarian assigned to their school or department if they would like to suggest a new journal subscription, database subscription, or any other non-Reserve item. Your librarian liaison can help you find what you are looking for or initiate an order.
