Continuing Adelphi University’s engagement with indigenous communities locally and around the world, Adelphi University Libraries and Department of Anthropology are sponsoring two screenings of the documentary film 1200+ (which centers the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women epidemic in North America), followed by a talk with co-creator Sheila North Wilson and Shinnecock Nation citizen, Janine Tinsley-Roe.
These screenings are free and open to the public, with a special invitation extended to citizens of the Shinnecock Nation and other indigenous nations and communities. Pre-registering for this event is preferred, but not required.
This event is co-sponsored by the Adelphi University Libraries, Department of Anthropology, Adelphi Anthropology Club, The Collaboration Project and the Department of Diversity Equity and Inclusion.Tatiana Bryant
