THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE SUBMITTING AN E-RESERVE REQUEST
Fair use guidelines limit reproduction of material to no more than 10% of the toal work, and no more than one article per journal title for each course.
No articles or book chapters will be accepted without a full citation.
Any article that can be found through the Libraries' online databases and/or electronic journals will not be accepted for e-reserve. You can use citation linker to find out if an article is available online.
Adelphi is restricted to posting on reserve a total of five articles per journal title from journals that Adelphi does not own (i.e., retrieved via interlibrary loan). This total is shared among all courses. This means that if five professors have already requested to post five different articles from the same journal, we cannot post any more articles from that journal.
All reserve items will be removed at the end of the semester and will not be placed on reserve again unless copyright clearance is obtained from the publisher. Faculty is responsible for obtaining this clearance before resubmitting materials. Proof of clearance is required at time of resubmission.
There is a limit of no more than 25 reserve items per course. Faculty with submissions exceeding this limit should consider arranging for a course pack. for more information, call 516.877-3967.
