Ruth St. Denis Collection

stdenis-findingThis collection consists primarily of books and manuscripts of Ruth St. Denis (1879-1968), the pioneering dancer and choreographer who founded the dance department at Adelphi. Included also are materials relating to the Denishawn School created by Ruth St. Denis and her dancing partner/husband Ted Shawn.
