The library has added Sage Reference Online to our collection of e-resources. Sage Reference Online is a searchable collection of over 90 encyclopedias and handbooks in the social and behavioral sciences, business, education and health, and history.
You can find it under Databases A-Z, as well as on our new eReference Books & Collections page: http://libraries.adelphi.edu/journal/eref.php. The link to this new eReference Books page is under the FIND heading on the library website.

ILLiad, our new Interlibrary Loan management system, enables all Adelphi staff, faculty and students to request material through interlibrary loan using a new web-based form. ILLiad provides borrowing history and status reports among other benefits.
ILLiad requires all users to register and establish an account at the time of making the first request. To establish an account, please refer to the following steps:
1. Go to the library web page and click on the ILL link, which directs the user first to the ecampus login. After logging in with your universal ID and password, you will be redirected to the ILLIAD log on page.
2. Click on the link First Time Users: Create an Account.
All users have to log on to place an interlibrary loan request. FAQs and other important information will be uploaded soon. Meanwhile if you need any help, please feel free to contact the Interlibrary Loan staff at extension 3591.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of four new databases which include a
long-desired citation database (Scopus) and three performing arts streamed video
sources for dance, opera, and theater. These are all listed on the A-Z list of
library databases: http://libraries.adelphi.edu/journal/databases.php
Thanks to all who commented while these were on trial:
Scopus (Elsevier) - an index and citation database that provides comprehensive
coverage of the sciences, technology, medicine, and the social sciences,
including abstracts. In addition, 3,500 of its 18,000 journal titles cover
the arts and humanities. Citation information includes analysis of where
articles have been cited elsewhere. It dates as far back as 1966 to the
present.
Theatre in Video (Alexander Street Press) - contains more than 250 of the
world's major plays, including selections from the BBC Shakespeare Series,
together with more than 100 video documentaries, online in streaming video.
Dance in Video - (Alexander Street Press) - contains 250 dance productions and
documentaries from the 20th Century, online in streaming video
Opera in Video - (Alexander Street Press) - contains important opera
performances, captured on video through staged productions, interviews, and
documentaries, and delivered online through streaming video.

Did you know you can receive weekly email notification of newly cataloged items in the Libraries, based on specific authors or Library of Congress call numbers and/or subject headings? Once set up, you are notified automatically on a weekly basis of all new material arriving in the Libraries in areas tailored to your interests.

Want to search back issues of the Delphian or other university newspapers? The Historical Adelphi Newspaper Collection with full-texts of Adelphi newspapers from 1921 to 2003 is now available and searchable online. Access is available both on and off campus: http://dtsearch.adelphi.edu.
This collection includes The Delphian and other student newspapers (such as Afrika Unbound) and selected newspapers and newsletters from other Adelphi departments--for example, the School of Business, Alumni Relations, and Public Relations.

Free weekly MEDITATION sessions, with Professor Leslie Temme (Social Work), begin this Saturday, March 7 and run every Saturday in March (except March 21): 3-4 PM in Room 272. And new this semester-- YOGA, with Professor Diane Dembicki (Nursing). Put your midterms behind you, and get ready for Spring! Come join us for breathing, stretching, meditation, and relaxation: Thursday March 12, 4-5 PM in Room 272. Bring a mat or towel if you can (we will provide as many as possible), and wear loose clothes.
