Manhattan Center Library |
The Manhattan Center Library provides off-campus students with the resources and services they need to support their studies, including access to online databases and catalogs. The Library specializes in material relating to social work and education. The staff is trained to offer individual assistance with research assignments and instruction in using the catalog and academic databases including Social Work Abstracts, ERIC and EBSCOhost full-text.
The Manhattan Center Library offers many features including:
- ten computer workstations with access to the Internet, catalog, databases, word processing and other software applications
- course reserve materials available at the Circulation Desk
- intra- and inter-library loan services
- individual and group library instruction on request.
Adelphi's participation in the Metro Program gives students the opportunity to do research at other libraries in New York City. Students receive a one-day pass valid at participating libraries.
Faculty and students are encouraged to recommend books and journals to add to the library's collection.
The Manhattan Center Library is open seven days a week during the regular academic year and four days (Monday-Thursday) during the summer. Click here for hours of operation.
